The short version
- Only share location with people who know and agree. Never use NextLocator to track someone secretly.
- NextLocator is not an emergency service. In an emergency, call 999 in Bangladesh or your local emergency number.
- Location can be late or inaccurate, because it depends on the phone, its settings, GPS and the network.
- Paid plans are billed by Google Play or the App Store, and you cancel them there.
Agreeing to these terms
These terms apply when you use the NextLocator app or this website. By using NextLocator, you agree to them and to our privacy policy. If you don't agree, don't use NextLocator.
Who can use NextLocator
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. A child under 13 may use NextLocator only in a circle set up by a parent or guardian, who agrees to these terms for the child and is responsible for how the child uses it.
Share location only with consent
NextLocator is for people who have agreed to share their location with each other. You must not:
- install NextLocator on someone else's phone, or add someone to a circle, without their knowledge and agreement, except for a child in your care;
- use NextLocator to stalk, harass, threaten or control anyone;
- use someone's location for any purpose they haven't agreed to.
Tracking a person without consent can be a crime. We will close accounts that do it.
SOS is not an emergency service
An SOS alert notifies the members of your circle. It does not contact the police, an ambulance or any emergency service. In an emergency, call 999 in Bangladesh or your local emergency number.
SOS alerts, place alerts and location updates need a working phone, network connection, location and notification permissions, and battery. They can be delayed or fail to arrive, so don't rely on NextLocator alone when someone's safety is at risk.
Location accuracy
Location comes from the phone's GPS, Wi-Fi and mobile network, and can be wrong by a few meters or more. Phones can pause location updates to save battery. We don't promise that locations, arrival or leave alerts, or location history will always be complete, accurate or on time.
Your account
- Give accurate information when you sign up.
- Keep your phone and sign-in details secure. You're responsible for what happens in your account.
- Tell us straight away if you think someone else is using your account.
Circles
A circle's admins choose who can join and can remove members. When you join a circle, its members can see your location, movement status, battery level, place alerts and SOS alerts until you are no longer a member.
Free and paid plans
- NextLocator has a free plan. Paid plans raise limits such as the number of circle members, saved places and days of location history.
- Paid plans are sold through Google Play or the App Store. The store charges you, and subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel in the store's subscription settings.
- Refunds follow the rules of the store you paid through.
- Deleting your NextLocator account doesn't cancel a store subscription. Cancel it in the store first.
- If we change what a plan includes or costs, we'll tell you before the change applies to you.
The app may show ads.
What you must not do
- Break the law using NextLocator.
- Try to get into accounts, circles or data that aren't yours.
- Copy, reverse engineer or resell the app, except where the law allows it.
- Overload, disrupt or send automated traffic to our servers.
Ending your use
You can stop using NextLocator and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts other people at risk.
Our responsibility
We work to keep NextLocator reliable, but we provide it “as is”. As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for loss or harm caused by location that is late, inaccurate or missing, by alerts that don't arrive, or by the service being unavailable. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be limited.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we'll update the date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, we'll also tell you in the app. If you keep using NextLocator after a change, the new terms apply.
